‘yi lpu net’ launched at LPU

Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), the Young Indians (YI), and Lovely Professional University collaboratively launched 'Young Indian LPU Net'-a platform for young Indians to realize the dream of a developed nation. On this occasion, Dr. Parul Pandey (Chair, YI Nets) and Ms Swati Bansal( Executive CII) were prominently present. The MoU was signed in Chandigarh between CII-YI & LPU where Dr Navita Mahajan, Chairperson, Yi Chandigarh and Director LPU signed it. Dr Navita Mahajan remarked that “It gives Yi immense pleasure to start the first Yi Net in Punjab with Lovely Professional University. We look forward to great participation and involvement with lovely professional university in the year ahead.” Mr Akshay Bector, Chairman, CII Punjab Council and Dr Pandey witnessed this historical endeavour. This is the first Yi Net in Punjab and Yi has Chapters in more than 16 cities across India. On this occasion, Dr Pandey expressed: "It gives Yi immense pleasure to start the first Yi Net in Punjab with LPU. We look forward to great participation and involvement in the years ahead." Whereas, Ms Bansal remarked: "it is going to be a great support to Yi in Punjab."

The Chancellor of LPU, Mr Ashok Mittal said: "The collaboration with YI will provide a special platform to the students of the University and also help them to become the part of the Indian Growth Saga. As per the provisions, both the organizations are going to facilitate youth to unleash their potential and create a positive impact and to work effectively for promoting leadership skills among themselves." He further mentioned: "More activities have been planned along with in near future including initiative to empower the students to work in the fields of education, employment, environment, youth affairs and health. The arrangement will also facilitate the university students' interaction with young achievers."

In fact the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) is India's premier business association. Yi Student Nets are formed by CII with a vision to influence, inspire and motivate the students across the country. These focus on bridging the gap between students and society by involving them in building a better India. The Yi membership base includes young progressive Indians comprising of entrepreneurs, professionals and progressive achievers from different walks of life.
