LPU houses a Central Library and a library in each School to provide an easy access to a large database of reading resources to its students and staff with various academic pursuits. The libraries contribute to the fulfillment of the University's Mission by:
- Acquiring, organizing, maintaining and making accessible a rich collection of print and non-print, primary and secondary material in various disciplines to support both students and faculty
- Providing a conducive environment for the optimum use of such material.
The University’s Central Library is a state of the art Rf-Id equipped automated library with all library books and other study material furnished with Rf-Id tags. The library houses a rich collection of text and reference books, journals, magazines, audio/videos, CD-ROMs, research reports, online databases and data analysis software, etc in all areas and branches of study to cater to the needs of all academic disciplines.
The patrons have an easy access to the large library resources through the online software which enables them to search the availability of various books and other reference material available in the libraries at the comfort of their houses as well. The books can be requested and reserved and the details of one’s library account can be checked online with the help of the state-of-the-art library search engine.
The Central Library also houses a cyber café having 250 terminals for providing free access to internet to the students in the library itself. The internet facility is offered with a 300 Mbps dedicated leased line.

Facilities available in the Library
- Library Membership: Any student/ faculty member who has joined the University can become the member of the Library.
- Periodical & Newspaper Section: Every library holds a very rich collection of relevant periodicals and magazines.
- Net Lab: Internet facility with a 100 Mbps dedicated leased line is available within the library premises for easy access of information.
- Reference service: Ready help and guidance is provided to all searching for any book or other reference material within the library.
- Easy search through software: Students can make easy search of particular title or book in the library with the help of state-of-the-art library software.
- Xerox facility: For the convenience of staff and students the libraries have Xerox machines to offer Xerox facility.
- Cloak Room: The libraries have cloak room for keeping the belongings of the students safe while they are within the library premises.
Student Services | Student Residences (Hostels)
University offers comprehensive hostel facilities within the University campus. We understand that most of our students are moving away from home for the first time, so we strive to make the transition as smooth as possible by offering comfortable and safe hostels within the campus, providing a homely atmosphere. University offers separate magnificent hostels for boys and girls with hostel warden in each hostel to supervise day to day management. All the rooms have been designed to provide adequate moving space and ample air and light. Each hostel has its own mess providing hygienic and nutritious meals three times a day. The menu is designed to cater to a range of taste buds.
The University makes the best possible efforts to provide the best of services and facilities within the hostels. To make the stay of the students a pleasant one they are constantly involved by organizing various events, activities and celebrations within the hostels. Various sports and cultural clubs have been made for the students to enhance their participation and knowledge. Also counselling facilities on personalised basis are provided.
HOSTEL FACILITIES
- Separate hostel facility for boys and girls within the campus.
- Rooms with attached washroom, bed, table, chair and almirahs.
- Air cooler facility/AC(as opted).
- Arrangement for power supply through dedicated hotlines.
- Hot water in winters (scheduled timings) in each room for two hours per room everyday or as decided by the University.
- Facilities for indoor and outdoor games like Table tennis, Badminton, Football, Basket Ball, Volleyball, Lawn Tennis, Cricket, Hockey, etc.
- Free internet connectivity through Wi-Fi system for scheduled timing for academic purposes only.
- In campus clinic with ambulance to provide medical assistance to students
- Power backup for light load only (not for AC/Geyser/Air cooler).
- Hygienic mess facility with vegetarian meals only.
- Students are not allowed to drive within the campus and parking of two wheelers shall be at the place designated by the University.
